Orphanage to Celebrate World Interact Week
To celebrate ‘World Interact Week’ and show their love and concern for
the less fortunate children of the society, the students of Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka went to different orphanages. They got a wonderful chance
to meet the girls at the Auxilium Snehalaya- an orphanage for girls. The
meeting was sentimental and established a bond between the girls and the
students. The girls presented a song to welcome the students. The interactors
talked to them and discussed about their like, dislikes and hobbies. They
talked about their everyday life at the orphanage. The students also danced
along with them. A number of beautiful memories were shared.
The interactors also visited the Don Bosco Orphanage
for Boys. The orphanage housed children from age 6 to 18. It was endearing to
note that many of them were not only talented but highly accomplished. They
shared stories, jokes and songs and participated eagerly and enthusiastically
in different sports activities. The interactors of the school played the game
of dodge ball with them. They stunned everyone by their energy and agility.
They later thanked us for the opportunity and the experience and were happy to
receive the prizes. The gleam and smile spread on their faces filled the heart
of interactors with warmth towards their new found friends.
Interactors also donated stationery, including pens,
pencils, erasers, sharpeners, colours and notebooks to both the orphanages. The
students gathered memories to cherish lifelong and it was very difficult for
them to bid adieu.
