Traffic Awareness Campaign

"Road sense is the offspring of courtesy and the parent of safety."

We always hear in the news or by our friends about the road accidents because of the wrong side driving, lack of road safety rules, measures, high speed, drunk driving, etc. Keeping the objective of promoting road safety and defensive driving in mind, the Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka initiated a Traffic Awareness Drive in association with Delhi Traffic Police. The zealous interactors spread awareness on road safety at   Sector- 6 Dwarka intersection. It has been noticed that people usually tend to break the simplest of rules. The interactors approached the people who broke rules. They presented them with a rose and politely requested them to follow traffic rules for their own safety. Their efforts received a mixture of responses. Some people were happy, some surprised, some scared and some understanding and promising not to break rules further.Students made the people aware about the various traffic rules, by projecting them through beautiful handmade posters explaining the gravity of this issue. The campaign was a great success in promoting safety on roads and creating awareness among the youngsters about the importance of following traffic rules.
