“Bring A Life
Back To Power. Make Blood Donation Your Responsibility”
Transfusion of blood saves
millions of life every year. In addition, blood supplies need to be replenished
constantly, as blood products have a short shelf- life. Recognising this, the
Interact Club of D.A.V Dwarka organized
its annual feature a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on Saturday, 6th
February 2016. The camp was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Delhi Uptown.
Prior to the drive, a Poster Making Competition was conducted in the
school on Thursday, 4th February 2016, for classes 6 to 10, to
sensitize the students the importance of donating blood, to help save lives. The
response to the competition was immense. The children wholeheartedly
participated in it and made really beautiful and creative posters conveying the
message of blood donation.
A power point presentation on 'Blood Donation' prepared by the club members was also displayed at the reception area and in the classrooms on the Parents Day to spread awareness among the people about this noble cause and also to sensitize people about the health benefits of donating blood.
