L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka
The Installation Ceremony of
the Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka Dwarka was held on 17th August 2019. The Chief Guest
for the occasion was Rtn. Prashant Sehgal, Director, New Generations, R.I.
Dist. 3011. The Guests of Honour were Rtn. Mridula Khatri, District Interact
Chair, R.I. Dist. 3011 and Rtn. Vipin Jain, President, Rotary Club of Delhi
Restoring Smiles. The other guests who graced the event were Rtn. Rakesh Kumar,
District Interact Chair,R.I. 3011, Rtn. Prateek Jain from R C Delhi Midwest,
Rtn. Gaurav Ahuja and Rtn. Brij Mohan from Rotary Club of Delhi Restoring
Smiles.
The ceremony commenced with
the National Anthem. An invocation dance ‘Shubham karoti kalyanam’ followed by
lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the guests created an auspicious aura. The school
choir accorded a warm welcome to the guests with a melodious welcome song.
Principal Monika Mehan
extended a ‘sow n grow’ welcome guests by presenting them plants. She, in her
address, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Rotarians for embellishing the
occasion.
Samiksha Puri, the alumnus
of the school and DIR (2017-18) R.I. Dist. 3012 shared her feelings about her
journey of interact and motivated the interactors by her inspiring words.
The Outgoing President of
the Interact Club, Anshita Dash, presented a report of the club’s activities of
session 2018-2019, through a comprehensive power point presentation.
Principal Monika Mehan was
presented Interact Club Charter by Rtn. Vipin Jain, President , Rotary Club of
Delhi Restoring Smiles. She also received an honorary member of Rotary pin from
the sponsor club.
Anshita Dash, the outgoing
President, exchanged the collar with the incoming president Shreeya and pinned her
badge. The other office bearers and the members of the club and the Interact
Advisors received badges from the Rotarians.
Rtn. Mridula Khatri, the
Guest of Honour, administered the oath and the newly elected members pledged to
do justice to their posts and serve the society with utmost sincerity and
dedication.
The incoming President of
the club, Shreeya Das, shared the future plan of action of the Interact
Club for the session 2019-20.
Rtn. Prashant Sehgal,
Director, New Generations, R.I. Dist. 3011apprised the gathering of the
objectives of the Rotary Club and congratulated the interactors for their
exemplary work. He also lauded the efforts of the Principal, school and the
club members for organising a plethora of activities covering all the major
concerns of the society.
Rtn. Mridula Khatri,
District Interact Chair, R.I. Dist. 3011 congratulated the newly installed office bearers and
applauded the zealous efforts of the interactors.
Rtn. Vipin Jain, President ,
Rotary Club of Delhi Restoring Smiles advised the young leaders to take the
responsibility bestowed upon them resolutely. He inspired the club members to
lead a meaningful life and be strong foundation of the country.
Teacher coordinator of the
Interact Club Ms. Pratibha Nagpal proposed the vote of thanks by expressing
gratitude to the guests for their benign presence.
Guests also participated in
Fight the Bite campaign and Vanmahotsav celebration recently organised by the
club by writing inspiring messages/ slogans on the tags and leaf cut outs
provide to them and then tying them to the nets and the trees respectively placed
at different areas of school.
The eventful programme
concluded with Shanti Path.
