Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public
School, Dwarka
collects
Funds for Bihar Flood Victims
As one of
India’s most flood-prone states, Bihar faces enormous challenges. Excessive
rainfall, bursting rivers and breaching embankments have wreaked havoc on the
lives of thousands, with the poor usually the worst affected.
Committed
to community service, the Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School Dwarka
organized a fund collection drive in the school wherein all school children and
staff members donated generously for this noble cause. The faculty, staff and
students came forward and joined hands to help out the flood affected people of
Bihar. An amount of around Rupees 40,000 was collected and sent to the Bihar flood
victims. Principal Monika Mehan appreciated the initiative taken by the club
and motivated the students to keep this
spirit of brotherhood and humanity alive. She stressed on the point that whenever
need arises we should be ready to stand and support.
