Free
Eye Check Up Camp
Good eyesight is an important part of wellbeing and a
significant factor in retaining independence and quality of life as we get
older. Recognizing this, the Interact Club of the school organized a Free Eye Check up
camp for the students and parents in association with Centre for Sight on
Saturday, 11th May 2019 in the school premises. The objective of this event was to spread
awareness on eye disorders and their early detection .
As a prelude to the camp, a poster making competition was
conducted by the club in which children enthusiastically participated and made
beautiful posters with catchy slogans to highlight the significance of healthy
eyes.
The Free Eye Check Up Camp started at 8:30 am and the venue appeared vibrant, decorated
with the colourful posters prepared by the students. Over 190 parents and students got their eyes
checked. Eye specialists
from Center for Sight conducted a comprehensive eye examination and counseled the students and the parents on
eye care. Specialists informed the students about the importance of regular eye
check up and gave some tips on protecting their eyes. A signature campaign was
also carried out in support of the cause.
Principal Ms Monika Mehan commended the efforts of team
Interact for the success of the camp.
