Free Eye Check Up Camp










Good eyesight is an important part of wellbeing and a significant factor in retaining independence and quality of life as we get older. Recognizing this, the Interact Club of the school organized a Free Eye Check up camp for the students and parents in association with Centre for Sight on Saturday, 11th May 2019 in the school premises.  The objective of this event was to spread awareness on eye disorders and their early detection .
As a prelude to the camp, a poster making competition was conducted by the club in which children enthusiastically participated and made beautiful posters with catchy slogans to highlight the significance of healthy eyes.
The Free Eye Check Up Camp started at 8:30 am and the venue appeared vibrant, decorated with the colourful posters prepared by the students.  Over 190 parents and students got their eyes checked. Eye specialists from Center for Sight conducted a comprehensive eye examination  and counseled the students and the parents on eye care. Specialists informed the students about the importance of regular eye check up and gave some tips on protecting their eyes. A signature campaign was also carried out in support of the cause.
Principal Ms Monika Mehan commended the efforts of team Interact for the success of the camp.


Participation in World No Tobacco Day Celebrations

Interact Club of the school partcipated in World No Tobacco Day celebrations organised by Indian Cancer Society on 26th April 2019 at Navy Children School, Chanakya Puri. Ashish Choudhary of  class VIII A participated in Poster Bag Making competition on theme Say No to Tobacco and he won third prize in it. 
Interactors of class X partcipated in Musical Adaptation on the them-Say No to Tobacco and their performance was appreciated by the audience.

Recognizing the hard work and efforts teachers put in for shaping the lines of  students, Interact Club of the school took it as an initiative to wish teachers on their birthdays, Interactors make hand made greeting cards and present them to teachers as a token of their gratitude towards them.

International Labour Day Celebrations

To commemorate the Labour Day and to appreciate and thank the selfless service of the support staff of the school who work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene and security of school, the Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka celebrated International Labour Day. To make the day more meaningful, the workers involved in the construction of the school’s new building were also invited to attend the programme.
A special assembly was organised on this occasion. The celebration began with a speech through which the students were acquainted with the history behind Labour Day celebrations. It was followed by a poem highlighting the role of workers in our society. The school environment reverberated with a melodious song presented by the students of the club and spread the aura of positivity amongst the audience. .A skit signifying dignity of labour was the highlight of the assembly. As a mark of respect and to express their gratitude towards the support staff, interactors pinned ‘Thank You’ badges on them. Principal Monika Mehan enlightened the students about the importance and relevance of the day. She acknowledged the contributions of the work force of the school and lauded their ceaseless efforts for the welfare of the students. The students learnt valuable lessons of respecting ‘workers’ for toiling tirelessly. A hawan was also organized which was performed by the support staff of the school. This was done to invoke blessings of the Almighty for the strong willed souls for their untiring services. The programme culminated with the breakfast for the support staff and the construction workers served by the students of the Interact Club. Interactors thanked the support staff for their selfless services and providing them safe and hygienic environment in school.
