Traffic Awareness Camapign

Visit to Traffic Training Park

It has been very well said that, "Better safe than sorry." Traffic rules are an utmost necessity if we want safe roads. Yet most of the people usually break the rules mostly on the pretext of ignorance. The Interactors of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka visited the Traffic Training Camp, Punjabi Bagh. They were made aware of all the road signs and rules. The students attended a lecture by Sub Inspector of Delhi Traffic Police where they were told the need for safety precautions while riding on a two wheeler or a four wheeler. Drink and drive is a very serious issue. A large number of people are dying every year on the roads due to this. The students were also enlightened about this issue and how they could work upon it. Apart from that there was an interactive session wherein the students were asked basic questions about road safety. This was indeed a very interesting and informative visit for the Interactors.

Self Defence Training Session

Self Defence Training Session for Girls by Delhi Police

The safety of girls and women is a burning topic in today's generation and according to various sources, the crime rate is increasing day by day.The girls need to be very conscious and aware about their safety and also try to learn some basic techniques of self-defence to protect themselves  from such circumstances.
Keeping this in purview, the Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka in association with Delhi Police organised  a workshop on self defence training for girls  in the school premises.  Delhi Police female officials highlighted the importance of self-defence techniques in our daily life. The officers taught various techniques of self defence like like temple attack, collar bone attack, different kicks, punches etc. They also told that which attack would work in a particular situation and how to apply it.

The session was very  useful as most of the girls hardly get time to go to such classes of self-defence in today's hectic life in the metropolitan cities.
