Anti Cracker Rally

The Interact club of M.L. Khanna D.A.V. Public School Dwarka , organised an anti cracker rally on 16 October, 2017. Dr. B C Sabata , Sr. Scientific Officer, Govt. of NCT of Delhi was the chief guest on the occasion . The rally started from the school premises after getting flagged off by the chief guest and school Principal- Ms. Monika Mehan. The students passed through DDA flats and visited the Sector 6 market as well..The ineractors presented a Nukkad Natak in the market area showcasing the problems caused due to crackers and highlighting the ways to celebrate a green diwali. The enthusiastic students showcased handmade banners and shouted slogans like 'This Diwali Green Diwali' and 'Say no to crackers'. The rally marked the problems the environment faces due to the pollution caused by crackers.

As a prelude to the rally, a placard making activity was held in the club’s weekly meeting wherein Interactors made beautiful placards with slogans on ‘Say no to Crackers’.

The efforts of the club were applauded by the Principal and the people of the nearby areas.

‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. Keeping this tenet of Gandhi ji in purview, the Interact Club of M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka organized a cleanliness campaign in school. Under this campaign students cleaned their classrooms as a mark of their respect to Gandhiji’s tenet of cleanliness. Students actively participated in the cleanliness drive. They also pledged to keep their surroundings clean. A special assembly was also organized on the occasion in which Samiksha Puri,DIR RI Dist 3012 and Club President Kislay Bhardwaj expressed their views on the need and importance of keeping the environment clean and green.

‘Choo lo Aasmaan’ DILA 2017

. The Interactors of M.L. Khanna D.A.V. Public School Dwarka attended "Choo lo Aasman" DILA 2017. The "District Interact leadership assembly" (DILA) of Rotary International District 3012 , was held on 11th October, 2017 at Amity University, Sec- 125, Noida to celebrate youth’s potential. The event aimed to infest interactors and rotaractors with leadership skills. The assembly was initiated by the District Governor Rtn. Sattish Singhal.The program commenced with the lighting of lamp by the dignified Rotarians along with the chief guest.

It was a proud moment for the school when, Samiksha Puri was installed as the DIR, 2017- 18 along with her team. In her acceptance speech, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Principal Monika Mehan for providing her wonderful opportunity to groom her leadership skills. The assembly was addressed by District Governor Nominee Rtn. Deepak Gupta, District Governor Elect Rtn. Subhash Jain and District Governor Rtn. Sattish Singhal. The chief guest of the day- Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor of the Amity University, gave an enlightening message to interactors to always have grit and determination in whatever they do. Various schools showcased their dance performances.

The assembly culminated after a vote of thanks. The whole event dealt with imbibing the values of humility and compassion in the hearts of young interactors to motivate them to contribute meaningfully to the society.

The Interactors of M L Khanna DAV Public School Dwarka presented  a wonderful fusion of Indian and Western dance forms. Waacking dance form was presented by students. It is a form of dance characterized by dramatic poses and characters with foot work coupled with quick, sharp, strong and fluid arm motions. The performance received a lot of applause.

          Model United Nations Confrernce on Global Socialism

In an endeavour to promote international understanding among students, a Model United Nations (MUN) conference was organized by the Interact Club of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School, Sector - VI, Dwarka on 12th Oct, 2017 on the topic Global Socialism.

Interactors participated and represented 23 countries from all over the Globe as the delegates of different Ministries, two students from each country.

They expressed their thoughtful views about Global Socialism and the issues associated with it such as achieving Global Equity, removing Global Poverty, ensuring highly equal distribution of resources among different nations, targeting Sustainable Development and combating Terrorism worldwide, on behalf of the respective nations they represented and also gave some innovative policy measures and action plan to achieve Global Socialism.

The students presented these views effectively and enthusiastically, and gained wonderful learning experience and conscience on this international topic of great significance.
