Street Play on Cleanliness at National Bal Bhawan

Students of the Interact Club of  M L Khanna DAV Public School Dwarka performed a Nukkad Natak on Swachh Bharat in a Cultural Programmme " Aaj ki Sham  Swatchta ke Naam " organised by MHRD(Ministry of Human Resource and Development) in association with Rotary International at National Bal Bhawan , New Delhi on 31st August 2017.Rotary-India WASH in Schools Committee, works closely with MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India) in promoting the cause of Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Mission through WASH in Schools initiative across India. The event was organised for the National Level Swachh Vidyalaya Awardees from 176 schools across India. Students performed an informative and thought provoking street play on the need of maintaining clean and hygienic environment. The performance was appreciated by all. 




Plantation Drive

A plantation drive was organized by the Interact Club of  M.L. Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka wherein more than 500 saplings were planted in DDA Parks of Dwarka. The School took this endeavor in association with Tourism Plus Foundation,  an NGO.This organization brought saplings which were planted by the students in and around the school premises.As supply of water remains a problem in some parks, mostly hardy plants, which require less water, were planted. Students also adopted these plants and took pledge to visit these parks regularly  to take care of these saplings . This helped create an awareness about the need to conserve nature.

M L KHANNA DAV Public School Dwarka took pride in holding the Installation Ceremony of its Interact Club on Saturday, 19th August 2017.

 The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp accompanied by the chants of ‘Shubham karoti kalyanam’ which created an auspicious aura. Students of Kala Sangam Club of the school presented a heartwarming welcome song ‘Swagatam Shubh Swagatam. Principal Monika Mehan extended a ‘sow and grow’ welcome to the dignified guests from Rotary Club of Delhi Uptown. She, in her address, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Rotarians for gracing the occasion. She also presentedInteract Club Incharge Ms. Pratibha Nagpal and the Former Club President Samiksha Puri, potted plants, books and appreciation letters in recognition of the awards received by them from Rotary International 3012.

An enthralling Mexican dance performance by the girls of Dance Club was enjoyed by all. Students also presented a Western song ‘Ten Thousand Reasons’ . Kislay Bhardwaj, the President of the Interact Club presented a report of the club’s activities of the session 2016-2017, through a comprehensive power point presentation and shared the future line of action of the club for this session. Video made by the Interactors for Interact Video Contest was also shown to the guests and it received a lot of admiration. 
It was momentous when club’s former President Samiksha Puri presented collar to present President Kislay Bhardwaj. The newly invested President was pinned badge by the President of our parent Club, Rotary Club of Delhi Uptown. The other office bearers and the members of the club were pinned badges by the Rotarians. The teacher members of the Interact Club were also pinned badges.The elected members took the oath of responsibility to serve the society with utmost sincerity and dedication and pledged to faithfully execute their duties. Rotarian Vijay Saraf, President Rotary Club of Delhi Uptown also enlightened the students. 
A vote of thanks was presented by the Interact Club Teacher Incharge. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
