Samiksha Puri-DIR Elect-2016-17

Its'a a matter of great pride for our school that Samiksha Puri, the President of  the Interact Club of DAV Dwarka will lead the interact movement. After facing multiple rounds of interview, she was selected District Interact Representative (DIR) Elect by Rotary International District 3012 for the year 2016-17. She was presented the badge of honour in 'Touch the Future' DILA 2016 at Amity University, Noida. She will be the DIR of Rotary International District 3012 for the year 2017-18.

Sterling Achievement in Rotary Online Essay Writing Competition

It is a matter of immense pride that Dhananjay Rana of class X of our school bagged first position in the Rotary Online Essay Writing Competition on the topic ‘Redemption of Rotary’s Pledge for  Polio Free India’ organized by Rotary District 3012  in the month of October 2016 on the occasion of World Polio Day. It is also great to mention that Dhananjay’s essay was selected as the best entry among more than 700 entries received from the students of classes 8 to 12 from various schools of Delhi and NCR. He was honoured  by Rotary District Governor Sharat Jain,Rotary International President Representative PDG Imran Hassen and Rotary International Director Elect C.Basker at the District Conference held at the Hotel Taj Palace on 7^th January 2017. He was awarded with the Certificate of Appreciation and a gift as a token of praise for this glorious win. Principal Monika Mehan also congratulated him on his stupendous achievement and felicitated him in the special assembly of the school.

Contentment of Community Service

The objective of the Interact Club is to serve humanity in the best way possible. The year 2016-17 had been replete with activities towards welfare of society and nurturing young leaders to be the responsible citizens of the country. A small assembly was organized for Interactors wherein they were given Certificate of Appreciation for their commendable contribution in the activities of the club and lending a meaningful contribution to the society. The smile on the faces of the students while receiving their badges and certificates exhibited their satisfaction in serving the society. They shared their feeling on how these small acts to uplift the lives of the less fortunate ones of the society have turned them in to more sensitive and responsible human beings. Principal Monika Mehan applauded the efforts of the Interactors and urged them to keep the spirit of social service alive in their hearts.

Career Counselling for Class XI

    Career Counselling Session for Class XI Students

A career counseling session for students of class XI was organized by the Interact Club of the school. The session significantly aimed at class XI students who want to pursue under graduate courses at foreign universities. The university officials from Nova Southeastern  University US, St. Cloud State University, Kansas State University, University of St. Thomas and IUPUI.

These officials apprised the students of various programmes that could meet ambitions of students. The session guided the students through the maze of questions to find solutions ensuring the choice of best career path.
