Interact Club of DAV Dwarka Celebrates Labour
Day
To
commemorate the Labour Day and to appreciate and acknowledge the hardwork of
the class four employees, who work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene
and security of the school, the Interact Club of DAV Dwarka celebrated
Labour Day on 1st May 2015. A special assembly was
organized on the occasion. The celebrations began with a speech delivered by
Aslesha of class VIII, which highlighted the role of Class four employees in
school life. The students were acquainted with the history behind Labour Day
celebrations. The informative speech was followed by an English poem by
Indrakant of CLASS X, lauding the ceaseless efforts of the work force of the
nation and the school in particular. A Fancy Dress Show was presented by
students of class V showcasing the invaluable workers from different walks of
our society like mason, porter, rickshaw puller, sweeper etc. The Interact Club
students expressed their love and regard by making handmade cards and badges
for the workers of the school. Their tokens of love were presented to the
workers by the teachers of the school. The workers were also presented with
biscuit packets.
Principal Ms.Monika Mehan also expressed her gratitude towards the workers for providing safe and healthy school environment and said that the future generation needs to be made aware of the importance of the working class and students must learn to appreciate their efforts. Workers were overwhelmed watching the function and expressed their thanks towards the Principal, teachers and students for their endeavor.
